Breastfeeding Support from a CLEC
While breastfeeding, once established can be seamless and easy to do, getting off to the right start can be challenging. Having the support of a lactation counsellor in the first hour after birth can significantly help mothers establish their milk supply and prevent injuries that can be caused by improper latch and positioning.
As a lactation educator counselor, I offer comprehensive breastfeeding support immediately after the birth of your baby. I also provide an additional follow-up visit as you may have additional questions and concerns regarding breastfeeding, such as increasing your milk supply, the weight gain of your newborn, how often to nurse your baby and learning the proper positioning and latch to prevent issues further on. |
Backup Doula Support
No woman who has planned to have a doula should have to go without one. That's why I offer backup doula support in the event that I am unable to attend a birth due to an emergency or unexpected timing. I work with one to two backup doulas for each client and offer meetings with them upon request.
Yoga for Labour
Yoga is a great way to calm the body and the mind. If you'd like to incorporate gentle yoga postures and breathing techniques throughout labour, as a prenatal yoga instructor and doula I can guide you along with specific breathing techniques that will help you throughout your birthing experience.
Yoga for New Moms
Once you're cleared by your doctor or midwife to restart a yoga practice, you can sign up for Yoga for New Moms. Feel free to email me for details.
